B-Architecten

Lille 2004 proposes the first major exhibition in France dedicated to the B-architecten architect agency from Antwerp, Belgium.
Notably will be exhibited a series of DVD urban panoramas (“Pixel City”), created by computer and inspired by the universe of video games.
The approach of B-architecten, in their various projects, is represented by a pragmatic research of innovative solutions and unorthodox usage of materials and spatial structures.
B-architecten take over different parts of the Maison Folie de Lille Wazemmes, with a bistrot (B-bar), an exhibition of their previous projects (B-galerie) , a space for children (B-kids) plus sound and video installations about the two latest performances for which they have devised the decors: Lucia Melts and Men in Tribulation.
