Alternate

In conjunction with De Vleeshal Premsela is presenting ‘Alternate’. Amongst others, this exhibition features the work of IAAA (Remko Scha and Jos de Bruin), COMA (Cornelia Blatter and Marcel Hermans), Franck Bragigand and Jurriaan Schrofer. The concept is by Dingeman Kuilman and the design by Concrete architectural associates (Gilian Schrofer).


Rather than demonstrating a standpoint, Alternate poses questions. Are designers making increasingly better things or do they vary without progressing much beyond traditional frameworks? What is the cultural and economic importance of all these alternatives? What is the difference between the alternatives made by a computer and those devised by a designer?
